Foodmaster Square is a colloquial name for the intersection of Alewife Brook Parkway and Broadway, in
Somerville, Massachusetts . It is at the foot of one of the seven hills of Somerville, Clarendon Hill, to the northwest of the hill.Aside from being located directly on Route 16, residents of Foodmaster Square enjoy easy access to the
Middlesex Fells Reservation , the parkland along theMystic River , the Alewife and Davis T stations, and Route 2. The square is easily accessible via public transportation, as multipleMBTA bus lines stop on its outskirts at the Clarendon Hill stop. This recently renovated athletic complex is home to everything from Somerville Little League to the Somerville High School track and football teams. In addition, there is a community swimming pool. Dilboy Field is part of the Alewife Brook Reservation, a responsibility of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
