Scott Perlman (born
January 12 1967 in NY, NY) is aprofessional baseball player, and served as a starter/reliefpitcher for theBet Shemesh Blue Sox in theIsrael Baseball League . TheUnion College graduate finished the 2007 season 2-2 with 1 save, and allowed only 1 of 13 inherited runners to score which led the league. Perlman also served as the team's pitching and 3rd base coach under manager Ron Blomberg, helping to lead the Blue Sox to the IBL Championship in the leagues inaugural season. He was selected to represent the Blue Sox as a member of the 2007 All-Star team.Before playing in
Israel , he played in the Westchester Rockland Wood Bat League(NY) for the Pleasantville Red Sox with fellow IBL playersDan Rootenberg andLeon Feingold . Perlman is a former commissioner of the Westchester league, and one of its founders and trustees along with Chris Jones and Steve Madey. As a player, Perlman is the WRWBL's all-time leader in wins(125)and strikeouts(1102).Career Stats
