All members of the community and visitors are greeted with the school motto, Wilson's Pride... Our Children.
The Wilson School District, in partnership with families and community, is committed to:• Excellence in education and the • Development of responsible and productive citizens.
Throughout its history, Wilson athletics has used educational athletics as a vehicle to teach life lessons related to the promotion of sportsmanship and character development. Recognizing the many challenges facing modern day interscholastic athletics, Wilson athletics adopted the Pursuing Victory With Honor program in 2003 to assist all invested parties in maintaining and promoting the integrity and educational value of Wilson athletics. Through the framework of the Six Pillars of Character, Wilson athletics is teaching, enforcing, advocating and modeling positive sportsmanship and character development within the Wilson athletic teams.
Pursuing Victory With Honor is a national program designed for coaches, administrators, parents, and student-athletes and represents a concentrated effort to provide skills and strategies to enable all stakeholders to teach, enforce, advocate, and model the character traits of responsibility, respect, caring, citizenship, fairness and trustworthiness.
