"Starchild" is a song written by Wally Badarou, Mark King and Phil Gould. Was released in 1981, from the debut studio album of the British pop band Level 42. This song is released as single in the some year of 1981, is the fifth single of the group. Had peaked in #57 on the UK single charts, and is the first Level 42 song that enter in an American chart, the Club Play Singles in #60.

The single had release in six countries beyond the United Kingdom, including Ireland, United States of America and Germany.
