"Adam West burn diesel like Zeke, have signed the same deal with the devil as Lemmy, love the ladies like the Didjits, and buy their weed from Fu Manchu's dealer." --Tom Schulte, Allmusic, February 2002.

History
Adam West was formed in the early 1990s when singer Jake Starr decided to form a 60s garage band. In 1993, they released their first single "I Get a Sensation" on Fandango Records. Their discography consists of 35 7-inch singles, one 10-inch EP, five full-length studio albums, three outtakes/B-sides albums and 40 appearances on compilation albums.
In 2008, Adam West released their swansong album "ESP: Extra Sexual Perception" and played their farewell tour of Europe. They concluded an almost 17-year career at a sold-out show in their hometown of Washington DC on November 8, 2008. An upcoming VERY BEST OF compilation is due in 2009 as well as various releases from the band members' side projects, including a couple solo 7-inch singles from singer Jake Starr.
In 2011 a compilation "Five The Hard Way" was released with the original line-up of Adam West (Jake Starr, Tom Barrick, Andy Rapoport, Ray Wiley, Bill Crandall, Phil Munds) consiting of 16 songs between 1992 and 1994, but only seven (7) of those songs were ever officially released . . . and most only on rare, super-limited 7" singles. In 1996, Fandango pressed up a handful of promo CDs (fr-002) that compiled 14 of these songs and distributed them to band members and close friends only. This new, release is the first time all 16 songs have been remastered, compiled, and officially released. (source: Strange Magic Records)
