Jacques Berlinerblau

Jacques Berlinerblau is associate professor and Director of the Program for Jewish Civilization at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He has doctorates in Ancient Near Eastern languages and literature (from NYU) and theoretical sociology (from the New School for Social Research).

He writes the blog [http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/georgetown/the_god_vote/ The God Vote] , an exploration of the role of faith in the 2008 U.S. presidential race, for Newsweek's [http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/ On Faith] website. A nonbeliever himself, he also has written articles critical of the "New Atheism" movement [http://chronicle.com/temp/reprint.php?id=n6r9fjc076nx1zx7qmcx98f82shcp3vc] .
