History

KWFC-FM began broadcasting on April 17, 1969 with Bill Askew as the first station manager. KWFC-FM began broadcasting on 97.3 MHz. That frequency was sold in the mid-1980s to KXUS, and KWFC moved to 89.1 MHz. The Missouri House of Representatives commemorated the 35th anniversary of broadcast operations with [http://www.house.mo.gov/bills041/hlrbillspdf/2724C.01.pdf House Resolution 1735] , adopted on April 15, 2004.
