Coonagh is an area (historically known as "Coonagh barony") to the west of Limerick city in Ireland.

Coonagh Cross Shopping Centre

Coonagh Cross Shopping Centre is a new shopping centre situated on the west bank of the River Shannon in the Shannon Airport and Ennis direction, when departing from Limerick centre.

It recently opened its doors for the first time and at present the only shop open is the 24 Hour Tesco. The remainder of the shopping centre is due to open in the first quarter of 2008.

Aerodrome

Coonagh is home to the Limerick Flying Club. The field is located about 2NM west of Limerick City and has one hard surface runway, 28/10. The runway is only 416M long and 9M wide so extreme care must be taken when operating into Coonagh as the narrow runway may give the impression of a long runway. Coonagh lies very close to the Shannon CTR, just 1.5NM. Shannon CTA over the field stretches from 1000ft to 5000ft.
