The North American Nations Cup "(also known as the North American Football Confederation (NAFC) Championship)" was the football (soccer) championship for the North American Football Confederation. The NAFC held this competition in 1947, 1949. Then came a forty-one year hiatus before the tournament was revived in 1990. Canada hosted and won that tournament. In 1991, the U.S. hosted the championship which Mexico would go on to win for their third title. This was the last NAFC Championship held as the Gold Cup became the dominant regional championship.
