Rena Silverman

Rena Silverman (b. 1985) is an American author, freelance journalist [ [http://pressroom.prlog.org/rena-silverman: Rena Silverman Press Room ] ] and a political speech writer. Biography

Rena went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts where she was a drama major. As a child, in 1996, Rena played Aurea in Paul Simon's broadway show, the Capeman with Marc Anthony and Ruben Blades. Though she did not continue acting in college, she found her passion in writing.

Works and activity

In addition to her feature in "Marie Claire" magazine, Silverman's work has been published in the "Green and Gold Online" newspaper, the "New England Journal of Medicine" and "TIME.

She is currently working on a collection of poetry, and a medical reference book. She also is an eating disorders activist and supporter of better care for those without funds for mental health counseling.
