saltbox structure. An exterior door and porch pillars added in about 1830 are in aGreek Revival style. The cottage was originally located at 120 Paine Avenue. The cottage was moved to its current location at 20 Sicard Avenue, on land that was also part of the convert|300|acre|km2|sing=on farm owned by Paine, in 1908.The house is a
National Historic Landmark and is currently operated as a museum.
