Street Sounds

Street Sounds is an a cappella musical group. Active since 1983, the band has performed live for nearly the entire span of their existence. The group has toured extensively, performing in Holland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Korea, Belgium and France, and coast-to-coast in the United States.

Relying solely on singing, the band plays music varying from blues, jazz, African chants, rap R&B, doo-wop, and civil/human rights songs.

Street Sounds has toured with artists and groups such as Manhattan Transfer, Wynton Marsalis, Zapp Mama, Robert Cray, Joan Armatrading, John Handy, Linda Hopkins, Chick Corea, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Cassandra Wilson, Pete Seeger and Chic Street Man.
