Bagdaha ( _bn. বাগদহ) is a town with a police station, community development block (Bagda) and an assembly constituency in Bangaon subdivision of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located near the border with Bangladesh.

Geography

Demographics

Politics

In the 2005 state assembly elections Dulal Chandra Bar of AITC won the Bagdaha (SC) seat defeating his nearest rival Kamalakshmi Biswas AIFB. Kamalakshmi Biswas of FBL defeated Dulal Chandra Bar of AITC in 2001, Kalidas Adhikari of INC in 1996, Ram Chandra Bose of INC in 1991. Apurba Lal Majumdar of INC defeated Kamalakshmi Biswas of FBL in 1987. Kamalakshmi Biswas of FBL defeated Apurba Lal Majumdar of INC in 1982 and Ind in 1977.
