The Right Reverend Vincent Paul Logan DD, is the 9th bishop of the Roman Catholic
Diocese of Dunkeld , which was restored (with boundaries different from those of the pre-Reformation diocese) byPope Leo XIII on4 March 1878 . Bishop Logan is one of eight Roman Catholic bishops in Scotland.Vincent Logan was born in
Bathgate on30 June ,1941 , the second youngest of five brothers. As was common at the time, the young Vincent entered the minor seminary of St, Mary's College (Blairs) nearAberdeen , where he completed his secondary education. His post-secondary education was at St. Andrew's College, Drygrange near Melrose in theScottish Borders , before being ordained to theCatholic priesthood on14 March 1964 to serve in theArchdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh .Father Logan served in several parishes, eventually being appointed as Vicar Episcopal for Religious Education in the Archdiocese. Father Logan was nominated as bishop by his mentor,
Gordon Cardinal Gray . When, on26 February 1981 , he received episcopal ordination at Saint Andrew's Cathedral inDundee , Bishop Logan was only 39 years of age, and one of the youngest bishops in the world.External links
