Sha'arei Tikva ( _he. שערי תקוה, lit. "Gates of Hope") is a communal Israeli settlement located at an elevation of 200 metres north-east of Rosh HaAyin and one kilometre east of the Green Line near Elkana in the western Samarian section of the West Bank. Founded in 1983 through a government decision, the first residents moved to the new village in April 1983. Its current population is now about 4,500 people in about 1,200 families. The village is run by a local committee under the umbrella municipal jurisdiction of the Shomron Regional Council. The head of that committee is Gideon Idan.

Population

The residents of Sha'arei Tikva are a mix of religious and non-religious people. The village is a dormitory community with most employed people working elsewhere.
