Tai-Young Kim

Tai-Young Kim (Hangul: 김태영, born November 2, 1967 in Seoul, South Korea) is one of the most prominent professors in management and sociology fields. He published articles at top-tier journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Industrial and Corporate Change, and American Journal of Sociology with Michael Hannan, Glenn Carroll, Stanislav Dobrev, Ezra Zuckerman, and other renowned professors.

Biography

Kim holds a B.A. from Korea University and M.A. and Ph.D. from Sociology, Stanford University where he stood under the influence of Michael Hannan, Ezra Zuckerman and Mark Granovetter. He was an Assistant Professor of Management of Organizations at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, 2000-2004 and was a Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management in 2005. He is currently an Associate Professor of Graduate School of Business(SKK GSB) at Sungkyunkwan University, which is collaborating with the MIT Sloan School of Management and is being financially supported by the Samsung Foundation.
