October 11 ,1996 ) where he appears to be a smart-alecky, sassyinner-city kid who stands out quite a lot when his best friendRichie Crawford brought him home to the Winslows one day. While there, 3J strikes up a conversation withSteve Urkel , who learns that his mother had put him up for adoption, that he cannot read, and that he had run away from the group home where he had been placed. Urkel insisted that 3J come back to visit often so he could help him with his reading. The two took such a shining to each other through their tutoring dates that Urkel became inspired to enroll as a mentoringBig Brother , with 3J as his designatedprotegee .In the next few episodes, the remaining members of the Winslow family get to know 3J, with Carl and Harriette letting him stay over while they tried to find him a new facility to live in. At the news of this, 3J retaliates over being sent to another group home, and starts treating the Winslows with much disrespect. Finally, on the eve of his being sent to another home, 3J runs away, only to later return to the Winslow home, where he decides to hide in their attic. Carl and Harriette find him there, and had a long talk with him. While 3J admitted to being such a rambunctious smart-aleck, he stressed that all he wanted was a family that would give him lots of love and attention. Carl and Harriette came forward and said that they were toying with the idea of adopting him, and with a group-hugging session, they made it official that they would take him in. By the next episode, 3J had already been officially adopted by the Winslows.
TV critics point out that the 3J character is the third installment of the series, having preceded like the middle child from the series beginning in 1989, and without no significance after the fourth season ends in the summer of 1993, Judy and nephew
Richie Crawford stepped from 1993 until 1996 as the replacementmiddle child for The Winslow clan, and now 3J is the final installment from the final two seasons, 1996 until 1998.###@@@KEY@@@###succession box
