Texas Forest Service (TFS), first started in 1915 by the 34th Legislature of
Texas , is an integral part of The Texas A&M University System. It was mandated by law to "assume direction of all forest interests and all matters pertaining to forestry within the jurisdiction of the state."The director's office (Suite 364), the finance and administration offices (Suite 419), the fire and emergency response offices (Suite 304), forest management offices (Suite 364), and the Sustainable Forestry and Economic Development offices (Suite 364) are located in the John B.
