The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) is a professional society for fire protection engineering established in 1950. SFPE publishes the Journal of Fire Protection Engineering, and Fire Protection Engineering magazine is published quarterly by SFPE. As of 2005, the society had approximately 4,600 members.
