Etivluk River

Etivluk River

The Etivluk River is a river in the state of Alaska. A part of the river has been identified as one of the most remote locations in Alaska, a full 120 miles from the nearest towns of Ambler and Atqasuk and farther from any other settled area in the state. The Etivluk's headwaters are Nigtun Lake and flows in a generally northern direction before joining the Colville River. The Nigu River flows into the Etivluk near its headwater, and the joined rivers are sometimes referred to as the Etivluk-Nigu River. The entire length of the Etivluk flows through a remote area of northern Alaska, entirely north of the Arctic Circle.
