KGDP is licensed to Orcutt, California, while KGDP-FM is licensed to Santa Maria, California. Both stations serve the Santa Maria area.The stations are owned by Radio Representatives, Inc. and People of Action. AM history

The station went on the air as KGDP on 1983-01-10. On 1989-10-15, the station changed its call sign to KSMI and on 1990-01-22 back to the current KGDP.
