Asha Tanna

Asha Tanna is a journalist and television presenter for the British television news programme Five News.

Tanna grew up in London and graduated from Portsmouth University with a degree in English and Literary Studies. Her career in journalism began in 1998 as a district reporter for the Watford Observer.

Tanna left Watford to work for BBC Radio Leeds as a regional radio reporter and presenter in 2001. In 2002, she went to work for BBC London Radio and then BBC London News as a TV producer and weekend reporter. In 2005 she moved to BBC South East Today, before returning to London to work as an overnight news correspondent for BBC Breakfast, BBC News 24, Radio Five Live Breakfast and the Today Programme. Tanna lives in Southwest London and enjoys playing the piano, salsa dancing, and scuba diving.Fact|date=January 2008

Since September 2008, Asha has been presenting overnight and weekend coverage on Sky News.
