He has competed in the Pancrase organization since 2004 with a 8-1-1 record. His most recent fight was a TKO victory in the finals of the Pancrase - 2007 Neo-Blood Tournament Finals over Fabricio Nascimento.

It has been announced that his next scheduled fight will be on May 11, 2008 against Nick Diaz in a title eliminator match for the newly created DREAM welterweight title.cite web
