KTFM (94.1 FM, "94.1 KTFM") is a Rhythmic Adult Contemporary music formatted radio station serving the San Antonio area. The Border Media Properties outlet operates at 94.1 MHz with an effective radiated power of 40 kW and its city of license is Floresville, Texas.

History

KTFM was originally a move-in, where in 1995 it had a Tejano format as KRIO ("94.1 K-RIO"), but by 1998 they would flip to Regional Mexican as KLEY ("La Ley 94.1"). In 2005 BMP would revive the KTFM calls after it acquired KLEY from Spanish Broadcasting System.

When KTFM was revived, its focus was on Rhythmic Oldies and it did well in the San Antonio Arbitrons. But as the rating faded, KTFM has shifted to a Rhythmic AC direction by adding more current product and putting less emphasis on older material to keep up with the changing musical taste along with the (mostly female) 25-44 and hispanic demographics KTFM targets in the San Antonio radio market.

For many years, the call sign "KTFM" was at 102.7, where during the 1980s and 1990s it was the highest rated Rhythmic Top 40 outlet in San Antonio. But by 2000 its fate was sealed by Infinity Brodcasting's purchase of the station from Waterman Broadcasting and the debut of KBBT, who would displace them as the highest rated Rhythmic Top 40 in the Alamo City. By October 2003 and after several attempts to tweak its direction, KTFM would flip to Active Rock. In 2006 BMP would acquire the former home of KTFM from CBS, which is now KJXK.
