ESPN X Games , Sun is also one of the faces ofAl Gore 'sCurrent TV network.Biography
Born in
Saratoga, California , of Chinese descent, Angela Sun began her career interning at High School Sports Focus ofKICU-TV in the Bay Area. She went on to executive produce and create a local cable newsmagazine show. A self-taught surfer, skateboarder and snowboarder, Sun attendedUCLA , and shortly after landed her first hosting job. Angela's action sports background led her to become the host of Beyond The Action for EXTV and a reporter for the LG Action Sports Championships. She was sponsored byRoxy ,Reef ,Oakley ,Billabong ,Rip Curl , andVans . Sun competed in pro/am surf events and was a team rider for Loaded Skateboards.In
2003 Sun was hired as correspondent forFox Sports Net 's 54321. She went on to report forFSN West 's Dig! Volleyball Magazine show.ESPN hired Sun as a correspondent for X Center for Summer X Games 11. She continues to report for The X Games as the New Media correspondent forESPN.com .In the summer of
2005 Sun left to shoot a 3 part documentary series forCurrent TV about Underground Christian Missionaries in China that would win her aTelly Award .Upon return, Sun took to the red carpets and celebrity events as correspondent for
ESPN Hollywood. The show was canceled after a short-lived run onESPN2 .In
2006 Sun joinedCurrent TV , hosting in-studio and producing and reporting in the field. Her work has taken her around the globe, including places likeChina ,Guatemala ,Australia ,Philippines ,Germany .Angela presented at the 2007 Vision Awards, to raise awareness for
Retinitis Pigmentosa and RP International.Sun was a correspondent for
The CW 's new show, TheCW Now pilot.Angela appears opposite
