Angela Gegg (born in Belize City, Belize, November 13, 1979) is a Belizean artist, author and entertainer.

Angela Gegg is a Belizean, multi-talented artist. With a versatile personality, Angela has proven herself as a dynamic author, cook, media host, painter, poet, publisher, and entertainer. GEGG, THE ARTIST

As an artist, Gegg has accomplished regional recognition throughout the Caribbean and United States, and in her home country of Belize.Since 2004, she has four major solo exhibits and is soon on her way to the fifth. She has also been in and a part of and in over TWELVE joint art exhibits in New York, Houston, Trinidad and Belize since 1992.

Gegg signed contract with CLICO for the use of her work in their annual Calendar [http://www.clico-caribbean-art.com/artist.jsp?id=84&aid=172 “The Art of Caribbean Women”] . She represents her country in the Calendar which was launched in the Port of Spain. "The CLICO ART COLLECTION highlights excellence in the visual art of the Caribbean. Its online gallery seeks to promote Caribbean art education at all levels and features Caribbean artists and their work, as well as essays and discussions on Caribbean works of all" types. "The FCCA provides a tangible mechanism for the cruise industry to fund humanitarian causes and help to improve the lives of the Caribbean people, it has impacted the lives of thousands of Caribbean citizens providing almost $2 million in funding to causes and charities throughout the region."

GEGG, THE AUTHOR

Gegg published her first book in July 2006, titled THE LIGHT, THE DARK, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. It is a book in which she draws upon her own deep personal experiences, her poetry, her writings, her philosophies on life. It can be considered an extensive overview on her life and world where she sheds her skin and leaves her life exposed.

Her book has been highly acclaimed by both critics & literary enthusiasts. Unable to put the book down, you will dive into a world full of mystique, intelligence, & taboo. [THE SAN PEDRO SUN] Gegg has been featured on The Spoken Word CD with other Belizean poets and has gone on to perform her spoken word for events such as The Belize Jazz Festival, and other events throughout Belize

GEGG, THE ENTERTAINER

Gegg has been working in television in Belize since 2004 when she was on the Love FM TV Show, COOKING WITH THE SMOKY MERMAID. She hosts the Channel 7 Carnival annually, which airs during the countries September Celebrations. In November 2006, she was hired by Positive Vibes FM Radio, a newly formed radio station owned by the People's United Party as one of the hosts for the G2 Show. The G2 is a hip-hop generation show about spoken word, music and poetry. Her co-host is well known poet, the Grandmaster, Leroy Young. The G2 combines the personalities of there two dynamic artists. The show will have special guests, on air poet showdowns and live readings. It will also feature the poetry of international and regional poets. Gegg has worked closely with The Miss Belize pageants organization and been featured in a variety of performances and other events.
