Alfréd Schaffer (13 February 1893 – 30 August 1945) was a Hungarian football player who has the distinction of being the player who holds the record for number of professional clubs; he played for a total of 21 clubs in a 15 year career which lasted from 1910–1925. [RSSSF, [http://www.rsssf.com/miscellaneous/player-records-various.html Miscellaneous player records] ] He played for MTK Hungária FC for two seasons between 1917 and 1919, in which he scored 83 goals and won the European Golden Boot for both seasons.

After his playing days ended he became a football manager, and coached clubs such as 1. FC Nuremberg (for whom he also played), AS Roma and Ferencváros. He also coached Hungary at the 1938 FIFA World Cup.
