(1994)"Analogue Bubblebath 3" was the third EP released by Richard D. James, under his commonly known alias, AFX. It is also the third release in the "Analogue Bubblebath" series. It was his third release under this alias.
The original EP consists of eight/nine tracks, all done in the
acid house techno style which was popular at the time, though the track '.000890569' is one of his few forays intoTrance . It was released in 1993 onRephlex Records in both CD and 12"vinyl formats. It was re-released on CD in 1997 with additional tracks (alongside "Analogue Bubblebath 3.1 ") and again on vinyl in 2002.Original Vinyl Tracklisting

This release came in a brown paper bag with inset sheets describing Rephlex Records and various places of interest inCornwall ,England , as well as instructions on playing the end of Side A.The final track on Side A is in actuality two tracks combined. The left channel begins around twelve seconds in and ends around twenty seconds before the end of the right channel. Both tracks were separated and given their own "L" and "R" suffixes for future releases.

The CD was packaged in a clear slim jewelcase with no liner notes or print whatsoever, save for a sticker denoting the name of the album and the address for Rephlex Records. Earlier versions said "now with 66% more bubbles" with images of bubbles, while on later releases the bubbles became the AFX logo. Either version was usually packaged in bubblewrap and contained a CD with no print on it (the only way to tell which side is which is by the etching CAT 008, which should be backwards in order for the playable side to be down.)
The untitled tracks labelled with "cat 00897" refer to those also found on "
Analogue Bubblebath 3.1 ". The untitled " [cd only #1] " can also be heard as the ambient backing to the song "The Garden Of Linmiri", found on the "Compilation" album byCaustic Window .External links
