Vince Carlin

Vince Carlin

Vincent A. Carlin is a Canadian civil servant. He is the current ombudsman of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, as of January 2006, for a five year term.

Carlin was born in the United States where he began his journalism career. His first posting was with "Time" magazine, initially at New York City, then at Washington. In 1973, he moved to Montreal and joined CBC, first as host of CBC Radio's "Daybreak", then to various positions within CBC.

He was Associate Professor for Ryerson University's School of Journalism prior to his appointment as CBC's Ombudsman.
