Luke Burgess (born 20 August, 1983 in Newcastle, Australia) is an Australian
national representative rugby union footballer who plays professionally for the New South Wales Waratahs (NSW Waratahs). Playing in the position of Scrum-half, Burgess played with the Brumbies in the Super 12 and Super 14 from 2003 till 2007, but due to the presence of Wallaby George Gregan only made two appearances for the team. He signed with the NSW Waratahs in May 2007 and will play with them in the 2008 Super 14. His club side is now Eastern Suburbs RUFC in Sydney, and in the Australian Rugby Championship he plays for the Melbourne Rebels.

Burgess debuted for the Wallabies for the first test of the 2008 Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series against Ireland at the Telstra Dome, Melbourne.
