Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located unit length|km|23.5|1 from the center of Paris.

Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois recently gained notoriety outside of France because the discovery of Ilan Halimi's body occurred there.

Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois lies just north of junction 42 on the orbital Francilienne autoroute.

Attractions include the "Donjon", a park with animals, a grotto, and an orthodox Russian Cemetery. Filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky is buried in the cemetery. Rudolph Nureyev, a famous ballet dancer, is also buried there in a spectacural tomb covered with mosiac decoration to represent a traditional Russian blanket.

Nearby, there is parkland which borders on the river Orge (a tributary of the Seine) and a campsite at Villiers-sur-Orge.
