Patricia Métivier

Patricia Métivier

Patricia Métivier is a resident of Montreal and an obscure perennial candidate in Canadian politics.

Background

Listed over the years as an accountant, a researcher or a TV announcer, [ [http://www.parl.gc.ca/information/about/process/house/hfer/hfer.asp History of the Federal Electoral Ridings since 1867, Parliament of Canada] ] she ran in at least 25 elections from 1972 to 2001. Most of the time, she would not get a score superior to 2.5% of the vote.

Apparently though, she has not come even close to breaking the record for the most elections contested, established by once political rival John C. Turmel from Ottawa. Both Turmel and Métivier contested the same election in the district of Frontenac in 1980.

Information on what was said or written by Métivier in the past is very scarce. [The author of this article could not verify whether or not Métivier ran for school board elections.]
