Mochokus is a genus of catfishes (order Siluriformes) of the family Mochokidae. It includes two species, M. brevis and M. niloticus.[1] M. brevis occurs in the Nile and Chad basins, and M. niloticus is known from the Nile and Niger basins.[1] The two species of Mochokus have a rayed adipose fin.[2] M. brevis grows to about 3.1 centimetres (1.2 in) TL.[3] M. niloticus grows to about 6.5 cm (2.6 in) TL.[4]
