WRHS is an unlicensed FM radio station broadcasting on 89.7 MHz in Norridge, Illinois, in the Chicago metropolitan area. It is owned and operated by Ridgewood High School, and it broadcasts from the campus in Norridge, Illinois.

Christmas

WRHS announced its intention to become the earliest station to change over to Christmas music in 2007 (as "Jack Frost"), surpassing 2006's first Christmas station, KOSY-FM in Salt Lake City, which switched on October 30, 2006. The station launched its Christmas format on the morning of October 25, 2007. However, they were beaten by WEXM in Indianapolis, who began stunting on Monday, October 8, through the rest of the holiday season. The next year, in an effort not to be outdone, WRHS-FM announced that they would play holiday music from Thursday, September 25, 2008 to Thursday, January 8, 2009, which would surpass any current stunt by a commercial station. No other station has permanently changed to the format as of October 11, 2008.

Because WRHS is not licensed by the FCC, these records are generally not taken seriously by the radio industry as a whole.

Radio

WRHS-FM signed on in 1976 at 88.1 FM in Park Forest, Illinois. In 2004, they moved to 89.7 FM.
