The Orange Fruit Bat (Melonycteris aurantius) is a species of megabat in the Pteropodidae family. It is endemic to the Solomon Islands. It is now considered the same species as Woodford's Fruit Bat. "Taxonomic Notes: The species Melonycteris aurantius was synonymized with this species."^[1]
