James F. O'Gorman

James F. O'Gorman

Dr. James F. O'Gorman (b. ?) is a leading American architectural historian who taught for many years at Wellesley College as the Grace Slack McNeil Professor of the History of American Art. He is particularly known for his research and writing on the nineteenth century American architects Henry Hobson Richardson, Frank Furness, and Hammatt Billings. He has retired from teaching and currently resides in Windham, Maine.

O'Gorman was named a Fellow of the Society of Architectural Historians in 2007.
