Fajã de Baixo

Fajã de Baixo (Portuguese word for lower place) is a parish in the district of Ponta Delgada in the Azores. The population in 2001 is 4,553, its density is 1,124.2/km² and the area is 4.05 km². Relva are surrounded by mountains near the area including an escarpment slightly east of Relva. It is located in the western part of the island of São Miguel and is connected by roads linking Fenais da Luz and Ponta Delgada. The mountains which are covered with lovely trees are to the northeast while farmlands cover most of the parish. The main industry are agriculture. It is one of the most densest and one of the smallest parishes in Ponta Delgada and the island of São Miguel.
