John Cecil Currie

John Cecil Currie

John Cecil Currie DSO & Bar, MC (born 1898; died 1944) was an officer in the British Army during World War II.

As part of Iraqforce (or Paiforce in Persia), Brigadier Currie commanded the 9th Armoured Brigade during the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Persia. His brigade was part of "Hazelforce" commanded by Brigadier J.A. Aizlewood.
