Major General John Aldam Aizlewood MC (born 1895; died 1990) was an officer in theBritish Army andBritish Indian Army during the interwar years andWorld War II .As part of Paiforce (formerly
Iraqforce ), Brigadier Aizlewood commanded "Hazelforce" and the Indian 2nd Amoured Brigade Group during theAnglo-Soviet invasion of Persia .In 1942, Aizlewood was promoted to Major-General.
