United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 1.5square mile s (3.9km² ), all of it land.Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 229 people, 93 households, and 69 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 153.3 people per square mile (59.3/km²). There were 103 housing units at an average density of 68.9/sq mi (26.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 93.45% White, 4.37% African American, 0.87% from other races, and 1.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.75% of the population.There were 93 households out of which 28.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.5% were married couples living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.8% were non-families. 23.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.84.
In the town the population was spread out with 21.4% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 31.4% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 90.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.5 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $39,375, and the median income for a family was $51,250. Males had a median income of $32,500 versus $20,625 for females. The
