Vietnamese Cubans

Vietnamese Cubans ( _es. Vietnamita Cubanos) are ethnic Vietnamese born in Cuba. All Vietnamese Cubans are descendants of Vietnamese refugees who were brought to Cuba after escaping the danger of Vietnam War on 1970s. Among them are Chinese Vietnamese who increased the original Chinese Cuban population. Hoa also lived in Havana’s "Barrio Chino". Some Eurasians of part-French blood are included. Cuba has the largest Vietnamese population in all of Latin America.

All of them speak Spanish, while a few can still speak Vietnamese. Chinese Vietnamese can still speak Cantonese Chinese as their first language, while others speak Teochew as their first language but Mandarin is the lingua franca for communication to Chinese Cubans. Most Vietnamese are Buddhists with a significant number of Roman Catholics.
