Asterisk Hawaii

Asterisk Hawaii

Asterisk Hawaii is a creative studio and underground performance venue in Honolulu, and is the sister space to the Asterisk Art Project in Brooklyn.

History

Construction on Asterisk Hawaii began in September 2006.

As of the end of 2007, Asterisk Hawaii is still under construction.

The space has since hosted numerous film screenings, band performances, private events, and in 2007 hosted a team for the 48 Hour Film Project.

Today

Asterisk Hawaii remains a quasi-legal creative space / performance venue with approximately 10 artists-in-residence and strong ties to the Honolulu nightlife community.
