The Striped Manakin ("Machaeropterus regulus") is a species of bird in the Pipridae family.It is found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela.Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes. Striped Manakins are sexually dimorphic, and the males cluster in a lek to attract females. After mating, the females rear the chicks on without the help of the males.
