Aden Ibrahim Aw Hirsi

Mudane Aden Ibrahim Aw Hirsi (also known in English as Adam O'Hirsi; born 1968, Gedo, Somalia) is a Somali politician and author who specializes in "Fiqh" (Islamic jurisprudence) and political science. He became the [governor] [http://www.allgedo.com/Tempe/ggcirro%20news.htm] of Gedo region in February 2007. He resigned from the gubernatorial position in May 2008. As of 2008, Aw Hirsi lives with his wife, Hibo, and their six children in Columbus, Ohio.

Aden Aw Hirsi studied political science at Ohio Dominican College from 1994 until 1998. Prior to attending college in the United States, he had trained in Islamic studies, in which he concentrated on Sufism and Islamic jurisprudence.
