Business career

Ken Eldred co-founded Inmac (International Microcomputer Accessories Corporation) in 1975 and served as CEO for 20 years, taking the company public in 1987 and later merging it with MicroWarehouse in 1996. He has been involved in the founding of several other successful companies, including Ariba. He is involved in ventures in the United States of America, India, China, and Europe. Eldred helped found and is currently on the board of advisors at [http://www.cpvp.com Crosspoint Ventures Partners] .

Education

Ken has a B.S. in political science from Stanford University and a M.B.A. from Stanford Business School. Ken has served as a member of the board of directors at Regent University. He has also been a visiting fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution.

Living Stones Foundation

The Living Stones Foundation [http://lsfoundation.org] was established in 1986. In 1999, the Eldred family wanted to proactively invest in ministry opportunities that share the same principles. The Foundation has an independent board of directors with the goals of accomplishing the vision of the Lord Jesus Christ. By providing strategic and financial support to projects, the Foundation invests in Kingdom-building ministries. Yoido Full Gospel Church

Ken is an elder at Yoido Full Gospel Church [http://english.fgtv.com/ ] in Seoul, South Korea—the world’s largest church led by Pastor David Yonggi Cho [http://www.davidcho.com/NewEng/Default.asp] with over 750,000 members. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Church Growth International (CGI) of the Yoido Full Gospel Church. Ken also leads a weekly Bible study (Christian) for business leaders in Silicon Valley, which he started in the 1980s.

This book provides a conceptual foundation for kingdom entrepreneurship and explores its contemporary development using specific examples through case studies of kingdom businesses. Ken is also the author of "God Is At Work: Transforming People and Nations Through Business" [http://www.godisatwork.org/endorsements.html] . This is a book about kingdom business as well--the effort to promote Christian faith and commerce through profitable business. It recognizes and describes the connection between economic transformation and spiritual transformation. By mobilizing its business people, the church has a unique opportunity to make an impact in developing nations.

Personal Information

Ken and his wife, Roberta, have three sons, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and spend their time in Northern California and Colorado.
