Sassi's Greenbul ("Phyllastrephus icterinus lorenzi") is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.

Originally described as a distinct species, it is usually treated as a subspecies of the Icterine Greenbul today. BirdLife International revised its status to subspecies in 2008 [BLI (2008a,b)] .

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is becoming rare due to habitat loss; when it was still considered a good species, it was classified as Near threatened by the IUCN [BLI (2004)] .
