"Who Can Kill a Child?" (also known "¿Quién puede matar a un niño?" and "Island of the Damned") is a 1976 Spanish horror film directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador. It is about an English couple who stumble upon an island inhabitated by maniacal children.

The film was based on a novel by Juan José Plans and adapted for the screen by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador. It had been virtually unavailable officially until it was released on DVD by Dark Sky Films in June 2007.

Plot

The films begins with a montage of documentary footage depicting atrocities committed to children. It then cuts to the story of an English couple who are taking a vacation.

When the couple makes it to the island, they are encountered by children who are reluctant to say a word to them. They continue witnessing strange behavior by the children.

They later learn what the children are capable of doing. Their violent behavior forces them to consider killing children.

The man, Tom, reluctantly shoots one boy with a gun when they are cornered into a room. His wife, Evelyn is horrified. Tom winds up shooting a machine gun at a group of children in an attempt to escape the island, and is later killed by a police officer who assumes he is a child abuser because of the way he treats the children.
