Good & Wake, 1993Nototriton major is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is also called the Plantanillo Gorge Salamander. It is endemic to Costa Rica.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montanes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
