Booster Juice is Canada's largest chain of fresh juice and smoothie bars. [ [http://www.canadianbusiness.com/managing/strategy/article.jsp?content=20060130_74258_74258 Smoothie chain Booster Juice finds expanding globally is not always smooth] , Laura Bogomolny, "Canadian Business", January 30, 2006 ("Today, Booster Juice has more than twice as many stores as its biggest [Canadian] competitor, another Alberta-based smoothie company, Jugo Juice.")] The chain specializes in health-conscious smoothies comprised of a pure juice, fruit sorbet or vanilla frozen yogurt, frozen fruit, fresh yogurt and ice. Founded in 1999 in Sherwood Park, Alberta (a suburb of Edmonton), the company has grown to have 123 locations in Canada, 10 in the United States, five in Saudi Arabia and one in Dubai. Further expansion in the U.S. and Middle East is planned, despite established competitors Jamba Juice and Smoothie King in the US.

Booster Juice utilizes the franchise business model, although the head office owns several stores itself.

Booster Juice is wholly owned by AW Holdings Inc. AW refers to Jon Amack and Dale Wishewan, the co-founders and co-owners.

The smoothies offered by Booster Juice come with a choice of "boosters", or nutritional additives such as protein, echinacea, fibre, and other products such as bee pollen or rosehip.

Some drinks offered by Booster Juice contain less common food products, including Matcha, Açaí fruit, a Brazilian fruit produced by the Assai Palm, and Wheatgrass.
