"Sigapatella" is a genus of small to medium-sized sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Calyptraeidae which are commonly known as slipper snails, cup and saucer shells and Chinese hat shells.

Distribution

This genus is found in south and southeast Australia, and New Zealand.

hell description

The shell has a conical spire, the apex is somewhat off centre, the base more or less circular, and the interior of the shell is bridged by a concavely arcuate plate or shelf.
